Apple is gearing up for its much-anticipated ‘Awe Dropping’ event tomorrow, where the company is set to unveil the iPhone 17 lineup. But there’s more—rumors suggest that the long-awaited AirPods Pro 3 may also share the stage with Apple’s next-generation smartphones.
According to noted Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the AirPods Pro 3 are expected to launch in the second half of 2025. While Kuo has not officially confirmed that these premium wireless earbuds will debut at tomorrow’s event, Apple’s past launch strategy makes it a strong possibility. The AirPods Pro 2 were introduced alongside the iPhone 14 series in 2022, and Apple could repeat history this year with the Pro 3.
What to Expect from AirPods Pro 3
The AirPods Pro 3 are likely to feature improved audio performance, enhanced noise cancellation, and longer battery life compared to the current Pro 2. Apple may also bring updates to the design and integration with iOS 19 for a more seamless ecosystem experience.
Interestingly, Kuo also revealed that Apple is working on next-generation AirPods with built-in infrared (IR) cameras, slated for mass production in 2026. These futuristic earphones are expected to enable spatial awareness features, potentially connecting with Apple Vision Pro and future AR/VR devices. However, these camera-equipped AirPods will reportedly carry a higher price tag than the Pro 3.

Tomorrow’s Big Apple Event
Apple’s September event will not just highlight the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max, but also new Apple Watch models. The potential addition of AirPods Pro 3 to the lineup could make this one of Apple’s most feature-packed launches in recent years.
If the rumors hold true, tomorrow’s keynote will not only give us the first look at Apple’s flagship smartphones but also set the stage for the next evolution of wireless audio.
