Deva Box Office Collection Day 2: Shahid Kapoor concluded January on an interesting note for his fans, as he released his first film of the year. We’re talking about Deva, a crime action thriller that’s one of the most anticipated releases of 2025. Deva, directed by Rosshan Andrews, stars Shahid as a fierce cop named Dev Ambre, alongside Pooja Hegde and Paval Gulati. Interestingly, Deva marks Malayalam filmmaker Rosshan Andrrews’ Bollywood debut.

Deva is a remake of Rosshan Andrews’ 2013 Malayalam film Mumbai Police, which starred Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role. Interestingly, Deva revolves around Dev Ambre, a hot-headed cop whose swagger has been on target. Furthermore, given the film marks Shahid’s debut collaboration with Pooja, their chemistry has won hearts and piqued everyone’s interest in Deva’s box office performance.

Deva’s opening day revenue of Rs 5.5 crores was followed by an increase in numbers on Saturday. According to Sacnilk, Deva earned Rs 6.25 crores on day 2 (first Saturday), bringing the film’s total collections to Rs 11.75 crores.

Deva’s revenues increased slightly on the second day, totaling Rs 6.15 crores. Interestingly, the film had the third greatest day two and first Saturday collections after Sky Force and Game Changer (Hindi), respectively.

While discussing his physical makeover for Deva, Shahid told Zoom, “So, what I wanted to achieve with this character was, I didn’t want to make him metrosexual, chiseled-no. I thought he should appear tough. In my brain, I always imagined him to be like a bulldog.”They’re these broad-shouldered, hefty creatures. They have short hair and a rough appearance. Aise lagta hai na, but denge aise. Mera feels like he should be this tough person. They appear raw and strong. Jisko dekhke lagega; isse panga maat lo. Isse dur Raho. Toh mujhe thoda ki vibe chahiye thi.”
