One of India’s most gifted actors, John Abraham, is renowned for telling audiences some truly remarkable tales. John is now making headlines for his next release after conquering hearts with his performance in his previous movie, Vedaa (2024). John’s first 2025 release, The Diplomat, is the subject of our conversation. The Diplomat, which is scheduled for release on March 14th, Holi, has been one of the most talked-about films in recent years.
It should be noted that Ritesh Shah wrote the story and Shivam Nair directed the action drama The Diplomat. Media reports claim that the Movie is based on actual political events. The movie revolves around Aryan Sheikh (played by John Abraham), a terrorist and country traitor in Islamabad. The Diplomat is said to explore the theme of diplomacy and the personal conflicts faced by diplomats.
Early Review of The Diplomat: John Abraham’s Action Drama Delivers an Intriguing Watch. John Abraham will be making his big-screen comeback with The Diplomat more than six months after Vedaa. Alongside Stree 2 and Khel Khel Mein, his Independence Day release arrived, and the horror-comedy dominated the movie office with no opposition. Despite John’s strong performance, Vedaa was unable to survive in theaters due to the Stree 2 storm.

John would now appear in The Diplomat in a completely different persona, much like in Parmanu: The Story of Pokharan, where intelligence rather than might was used. John portrays an Indian diplomat in the movie set in Pakistan. The movie, which has been ready for a while, is now being released in theaters however, with very little marketing or promotion. The beautiful thing about this word-of-mouth movie is that it’s essentially getting a solo release, and that too on Holi.
