KTM has officially confirmed that the all-new KTM 160 Duke will soon hit Indian roads, marking the brand’s most affordable streetfighter in the country. The latest teaser from the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer confirms its arrival, following weeks of speculation sparked by earlier leaks.
Positioned below the Duke 200 in KTM’s Indian lineup, the Duke 160 will cater to riders seeking the brand’s signature performance and aggressive styling at a more accessible price point. While official specifications remain under wraps, industry insiders suggest that the motorcycle will share much of its hardware with the Duke 200 to keep costs competitive while maintaining a premium feel.

The teaser image hints at upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock suspension, both carried over from higher-capacity Dukes, ensuring strong handling characteristics. Under the skin, the bike is expected to use a 160.3cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine developed in partnership with Bajaj Auto. This unit is rumored to deliver around 17 hp and 14.6 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox for spirited city and highway riding.
Feature highlights could include a full-LED lighting setup and KTM’s 5-inch bonded glass TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. However, advanced features like a quickshifter and slip-and-assist clutch are still unconfirmed.
Once launched, the KTM 160 Duke will compete in the premium 160cc naked segment, going head-to-head with the Bajaj Pulsar NS160, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, and Honda Hornet 2.0. While KTM hasn’t announced an official launch date, the steady rollout of teasers suggests that an unveiling could be just weeks away.
Motorcycle enthusiasts can expect KTM’s trademark sharp design, performance-focused engineering, and an aggressive price tag that could make the Duke 160 a game-changer in its class.
