On Wednesday, reports appeared stating that the department raided premises associated with Sukumar. The raids, which began early in the morning, apparently lasted several hours.
According to sources quoted by Sakshi Post, Sukumar, who recently directed Pushpa 2: The Rule, was taken by IT officials from the airport to his home as part of the continuing inquiry. The raids on Sukumar’s homes are comparable to those targeting other renowned film producers. Notably, the IT department launched raids on producers Dil Raju, Ravi Shankar, and Naveen Yerneni’s homes and workplaces. IT officials reportedly approached Dil Raju, the head of Sri Venkateswara Creations and chairman of the Telangana Film Federation Development Corporation, for financial information. Raju’s wife, Tejaswini, told the press on Tuesday that the IT Department had asked for their financial statements while she was seen visiting a bank in Hyderabad.
